  • Build good community relations as a cornerstone of being a successful business
  • Engage our employees in the communities in which they work and live
  • Strengthen our culture of teamwork and innovation

Aviva’s Charity Partnership with Focus Ireland

The central pillar of our Community Programme is our global ‘Street To School’ initiative which recognises that every homeless child has the right to fulfil their potential.

Focus Ireland was voted by Aviva Ireland employees to become the charity partner until June 2015. The objective of this partnership is to help Focus Ireland end child homelessness with a particular emphasis on child education because Aviva believes education is insurance for a better life.
What are the aims of the Aviva Street to School programme?
  • To champion the needs of street children (children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in the Irish context) in the communities in which we live and work
  • To support initiatives that helps and encourages these children back into school or training programmes
  • To support Focus Ireland raise awareness of the plight of children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and advocate the right of every child to fulfil their potentia

Since the launch of the partnership, Aviva and employees have raised/ donated just over €475,000 and 1139 employees have volunteered 3855 hours of their time.
