The member must be the person receiving chemotherapy or radiotherapy, and must have travelled more than 50 Kilometres, each way, from home in order to receive treatment. |

Our innovative post natal home help service has been designed to give you as much time as possible to get back on your feet again. For 3 days following the birth of your baby, we will give you €100 per day towards the cost of a home help assistant who will take over the chores of cleaning and general housework. You and your baby can just settle back home and start getting to know each other! This is an alternative to Doula services. This benefit is subject to availibility in your area. Where the service cannot be provided we will give you €120 to allow you to avail of this service from another provider. |

Your 'we plan' level 1 covers you and your family for out patient costs. These are medical expenses that you pay for yourself when attending your consultant or hospital as an out patient when you're not actually undergoing a stay in hospital. They include cover for out patient consultant visits, radiology and pathology procedures.
*U Mamma therapies and classes qualify for the pre and post natal benefit scheme. Another plus is the fact that the €250 out patient excess on the 'we plan' can be shared across the whole family, which means that you will receive a greater refund at the end of the year. Remember to keep all of your out patient receipts and then claim at the end of your policy year. When you make the claim, we'll deduct the €250 excess and pay you the rest without delay. Having discussed the treatments available to cancer sufferers with health care professionals we've identified another benefit we can offer. In recognition of the stress cancer treatment can cause, Hibernian Aviva Health will now contribute €40 per visit towards the cost of 5 visits to a psycho-oncologist following chemotherapy to assist recovery. This benefit will be available under our out patient benefits. As such it will be subject to the out patient excess. The sessions must be conducted by a psychologist who is either a member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy or the Psychological Society of Ireland. |
